Who should take this course?

To join the PADI Seal Team, a child must be 8 years of age or older. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but kids should be comfortable in the water. Parental approval is required.

What will you learn?

The PADI Seal Team program teaches responsibility and respect for the aquatic realm. It’s broken into two parts.

Part one, AquaMissions 1 – 5, covers basic scuba diving skills, such as breathing underwater, clearing a mask of water, recovering a regulator and swimming around experiencing the sensation of being weightless. Each session takes about an hour. Complete these AquaMissions and become a recognized PADI Seal Team Member. Your experience may also count toward the PADI Open Water Diver course when you’re old enough to participate in the course.

Part two, 10 specialty AquaMissions, includes adventures like creature identification, search and recovery diving, and skin diving. Complete all of these and you’ll become a PADI Master Seal Team Member – joining an elite group of young scuba divers.

How can you start learning now?

Contact PADI Dive Center or Resort to enroll in the program and get started with a PADI Seal Team Crew-Pak. Your pack includes everything a PADI Seal Team Member needs to prepare for AquaMissions including a fun video, activity book with puzzles, and log book pages to track your adventures.

What scuba gear will you use?

Your PADI Pro will likely provide all the basic scuba gear you’ll use including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges, and a tank.

I have been certified to dive since 1994 and over the years I have been to Scuba shops all over the country. Imagine my surprise when my favorite store happens to be local to me. I found them when I wanted to get Nitrox certified and I have been going back ever since. This is the type of place where you are not just a number but everyone feels like family. This is the way dive shops should be, not just a place of business but a community. I would recommend A-1 to everyone.

Just completed dry suit certification at A1 Scuba with my son. Alan and all the staff did a great job teaching both the course and passing along their experience. Dives where packed with information and support from the great dive staff, plus a ton of fun. Highly recommend for any training needs. Can’t wait for our next class in the spring. Also purchased all our gear from A1. They have a great selection, and worked with us to find the right gear at a good price. Have looked at other local dive shops, but nobody does a better job getting to know us and finding the equipment to meet our needs and budget. Great local dive shop.

Anyone who is looking for diving equipment or a place to be certified, need look no further than A-1 Diving. The owner Alan is a true diving pro as well as the rest of the staff. They really know their stuff and love telling you about various dive excursions whenever they have a chance. Also great for world class dive vacations especially North Carolina with the sharks and wrecks. They stock the best equipment. A-1 really works with you to make it one of the best experiences ever.

The lessons offered were easy to understand, and the mentors were very kind. As an individual that has been afraid of water for a good portion of my life, I got my confidence back to start diving again. They were great, knowledge and willing to work around my busy schedule. They still invite me to join them on trips to utilize my cert. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to get into diving.

I received my scuba certification from A-1. I love how flexible they are and how they work with people who have crazy schedules!!! They were so patient and really did everything they could to make you feel comfortable with the different exercises required for certification. I highly recommend them!!!

My friends have been diving for years and I always wanted to do it but was afraid do to my Asthma. I finally decided to take the plunge and after visiting A-1 Scuba in Trevose I finally decided they were the ones for me. I called and explained my issue with Asthma to Alan. He made me feel comfortable in his explanation of Asthma and diving and asked me to stop by and pick up a medical form for my doctor to fill out. So I decided to visit the shop. I meet Alan and Jen on my first visit and they explained everything about the program and made me feel very comfortable. After the pool dives and the class work we hit Dutch Springs. I had my own BCD a friend gave me and on the first dive had an equipment malfunction. I had to miss the first dive and was one dive behind everyone but Jen Margret and Andrew went out of the way to make sure I was able to get caught up on my skills and was able to get certified that weekend. I had visited 3 dive shops before this one and I would have to say I saved the best for last. I feel like one of the family when I was diving with them and look forward to diving with them in the future.With my friend BCD malfunctioning I needed a new one. I talked with Alan and his staff about what equipment I should be used. With their guidance I bought all my equipment there (Wetsuit, BCD, Computer, Mask and fins) and have had no issue. A-1 advice and guidance has been spot on.
